I find that both the amount of logging taking place in the Amazon and the fact that aerial fly-byes are going on to look for natives, is very disturbing. I feel like we're going back in time, to when the conquest of South America was going on and the church lead people to change from their native faiths to Christianity. This isn't right. Native peoples deserve their own opinions, lives, and privacy.
It bothers me that there are aerial fly-byes going on because this is probably scaring them more than the logging. If we could all just learn to get along, and leave each other in peace, then maybe this world would be a better place.
Logging has been a large issue since the beginning of man's time on Earth. What every man forgets is that we do not own the land, the land owns us. They all let greed take over their minds and they do not think of the future, or protecting their land.
I know sitting here and writing about it is not going to help. If you want change, you have to make it happen.
